Aura Flash to Video Converter is a SWF video converter. SWF is the only format it supports, which makes the uses for this application quite limited. SWF was very popular with the advent of Flash, but it has now been replaced by FLV and it soon will be obsolete all together.
The application allows you to convert SWF files to a variety of other formats, including MP4 (XVID) MPG, MPEG-2, AVI, 3GP, and FLV. You can change the output settings of each conversion profile to your liking. There are ten profiles in total. Of course, both sound and video are converted. There is also a built-in video player that allows you to preview your videos. You can open files and add them to the interface with the built-in file browser or you can drag and drop the file.
Performance-wise, the application works fine. I did get an error when I first run it, but it was sound related and I managed to fix it quite easily. In short, this application does work. It can convert SWF files to an array of formats, but it won't conserve any interactivity included with the original file. SWF files are very outdated in my opinion and it is a format that will soon cease to exist.
